Our most popular blend for sprouting on the trail, these certified organic sprouts (red clover, radish, alfalfa, broccoli) grow from seed to a crispy green salad within a few days. A mild spice and a tender crunch. Excellent as a snack, salad, filler for tortillas, or as a topping for dishes. One 4 oz packet of seeds yields approximately 25 cups of full-grown sprouts.
This blend contains: Organic Red Clover seed, Organic Radish seed, Organic Alfalfa seed, Organic Broccoli seed.
Trail Spouting: To sprout these seeds while on the trail, we recommend the use of a hemp sprout bag. Hemp is extremely durable and is naturally mold resistant. To sprout, use 2-3 teaspoons of seeds per hemp sprout bag. Soak seeds in water overnight (or 8-10 hours), then drain. Place seeds into the sprout bag. Rinse seeds by pouring a small amount of drinkable water directly on the seeds 2-3 times a day until ready to eat (about 3-4 days). Yields about 2 cups of sprouts. Sprouts will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks on the trail (within the sprout bag) if kept moist by daily rinsing. They are best consumed within 1 week when they are their freshest.
The seeds will last 2-3 years when stored in a cool, dark location.
