Precooked and dehydrated with a flavorful blend of crushed bell pepper, sea salt, garlic, onion, and Mexican spices, these spiced beans will have your mouth watering in no time. Eat as a dip, soup, burrito filler, or like we do: right out of the bag for a crunchy bean snack. The entire package makes over 5 cups or 10 servings of prepared beans, providing unbeatable convenience for backpacking, travel, or home. To prepare, add an equal amount of beans to boiling water and reconstitute for 3 - 5 minutes in hot water. No stove? You can also use cold water and reconstitute for 10 minutes. Black beans are prized for their folate and fiber content. They are also a good source of protein. Like other beans and legumes, the rich complex carbohydrates contain plant starch, which the body slowly digests and uses for energy without spiking blood sugar levels.

Preparation: Boil 1 cup of water for every 1 cup of beans. Bring water to a boil, stir in beans, turn off heat, keep covered and let stand 3-5 minutes. Add more water for a thinner consistency. Can also be prepared as no-cook.
